Hello there – I just found your site last week when I was searching for googling Fedco Seeds and Maine – I saw that you were doing and thinking about a lot of the things we’re doing here. “That looks interesting,” I thought. And then I came back today and see that you’ve lost the will to blog! It sounds so sad and final – I hope it’s not permanent.

Howdy Homesteaders — I’m a student doing an internship on a sustainable farm in southern Washington. I will do my best to get in direct contact with some of yall, but for now I thought I’d throw my name out there. The description of the internship and this farm’s website where I am (w/ an email I will send the name & site of the farm) differed greatly from the reality of the place. Usually this would not be a problem, but in the ‘real world’ the extent of this difference would be considered outright lying… soooo… since sustainable farming in a homesteading form is what I’m interested in, I was wondering if any of you have suggestions as to where I could find a place to stay & work for anywhere from 2 weeks to a month. Certainly this is not an easy thing to ask of a group of family farmers/bloggers, but any suggestion would help! Thanks!!

Hi All,
I am starting up a new site that will concentrate on folks like yourselves. It will feature first person stories, links to homesteader blogs and practical advice and how-to articles on everything related to homesteading and rural living.
We are still very much in draft mode, but stop on by and bookmark us. There will be many changes and upgrades in the coming days and weeks.
